My Story

The recipe for this amazing pup starts with sugar, spice and everything nice. Then, you add a dash of zest and a sprinkle of quirkiness - that's Paprika! Paprika is the perfect match for anyone looking to add variety to their daily routine! She just loves to keep you on your toes and ready for fun. Her favorite pastimes include being the center of attention, playing with her people and taking naps. Sleeping is her personal favorite - she burns off energy in her sleep too, by dreaming of running through fields! Though Paprika has an abundance of energy, this sassy girl is also a major cuddle bug! Once the day's excitement winds down, she just wants to snuggle up with you. Her cuddles are truly unrivaled, providing just the right amount of warmth - much like the spice she's named after. Paprika would benefit from an active adopter who can keep her busy with fun and exercise. Paprika needs to meet other dogs one-on-one first. Our staff would love to help make introductions! Paprika needs a home with no cats. Are you ready to add some spice to your life with a dash of Paprika? This suggested adoption fee allows the ASPCA to continue our lifesaving work and help even more animals in need. We are grateful for any and all amounts given at the time of adoption.* For more information on adopting from the ASPCA, please visit www.aspca.org/adoptionsteps. **The ASPCA is committed to prioritizing the health and safety of the community, the animals in our care and our staff, and we are keeping a close eye on developments related to the COVID-19 crisis as they evolve. As such, the ASPCA Adoption Center in New York City is currently closed for in-person visitors. However, we are excited to offer remote adoptions using video conferencing! In-person meet-and-greets are also sometimes available or required for specific animals. Please check out our available cats and dogs above, and if one catches your eye, apply directly for him or her. An ASPCA Matchmaker will let you know if the animal you are interested in adopting is eligible for or requires an in-person meet-and-greet. Please note: Adoption applications are handled in the order they are received and submitting an adoption survey does not constitute a hold or guaranteed adoption. You can expect to receive automated emails updating you on your adoption status as our Matchmakers go through applications. Thank you for your patience, and we hope you find your match!**
