Got sheep? This guy would love a home on a small farm or ranch. He's adjusted very well to being a house dog and loves all the creature comforts, but he is high energy and would love an outlet for his innate herding instincts. We tried him out with some sheep recently and he had a blast! He would probably work cows, too. What he wants most is a "go everywhere with you" home where he gets to ride along on all the adventures. He does great in a car and has impeccable recall. He is very attentive to humans and really aims to please. He's an absolutely gorgeous dog and an agile athlete who would excel at being an outdoor partner for trail running or long hikes, too. So far he shows no interest in playing ball though; he prefers to chase other dogs! His quirks include chasing your feet and anxiety about being away from people, but who can blame him after the rough start he's had. He will really bond with people and thrives on praise. He is currently trained to sleep in a dog bed on the floor and does not need to be crated overnight. He's so ready to be your working partner and or adventure buddy!
