This boy came in as a stray, found on Peregrine Ridge in Salcha (near Harding Lake), along with 7 other dogs who appear to be related. They followed a musher and his team.
Very nice boy who is friendly and outgoing, and jumps up a lot. Loves attention. Happy dog. Patrick has a shorter coat than his friends, and is long and lean. Quiet boy.
Patrick went mushing with our volunteers on Feb 18th:
"Patrick is the longest legged dog of the Salcha group and by far the fastest. He has a nice coat and loves to run. Another dog that is very easy to handle and gets along great with other dogs. He weighs around 45 pounds but is on the thin side. We put him in lead towards the end with Jenny and he did a nice job. They even ran right past Paige as she was standing on the dike with barely a look. This is just an all around great dog who has some speed for a mid-distance or faster distance team."
