Patrick

Like a phoenix rising from the ashes, this darling boy that survived a house fire is now fully healed and ready to find his forever home! Sweet, smart, and playful Patrick is about 5 years old and 16 lbs. He enjoys toys, is super friendly, loves to go for walks, and looks forward to cuddling on the sofa to watch a good movie with you at the end of the day. Patrick has lived his whole life with multiple dogs, but he also loves to form strong bonds with people, so we think he would be great even as an only dog, or with one or 2 other dogs or cats that don't mind sharing the affections of their humans. He is also good on a leash, housetrained, crate trained, and he knows how to use a doggie door if you happen to have one! Patrick is not a good fit for families with younger kids, as he gets stressed by all the noise, activity, and fast movements -- but he would likely do well with older, calm children 14+ years in age. Back in early April, Team GRRR went to Jesup GA and rescued Patrick, Reese, and Bella, (each about five years in age) from a house fire where they survived but suffered injuries. Patrick’s significant burns are now fully healed, and he doesn't let his scars hold him back -- he is ready to shower his new forever family with love! Adoptions are only permitted to smoke free homes. A secured fenced yard is also required for our dogs, exceptions to this are only granted based on evaluation of a specific dog’s needs (i.e. elderly or special needs dog) and the safety of the applicant’s environment.
