Paulina Rubio

Meet Paulina Rubio, a 1.5-year-old Shepherd mix. Paulina has been housed at YHS since December when she and 3 other dogs were surrendered to Yakima animal control. It is the shelters understanding that the owners were over their limit of dogs and not able to care and contain so many pets. At first Paulina was unsure about what attention was but she quickly learned how amazing pets and treats are. Paulina and her sister Peanut Butter go on daily walks with members of the public and love to get attention. They are always happy girls and open to meeting new people. These ladies were used to an outdoor lifestyle but have been good in their kennels as well. They would love their new homes to have large fenced in yards but don't expect them to be guards (they love everyone). A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been processed. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known.
