Payton

Calling all lovers of senior pups: 10-year old Payton may be just the one you're looking for! This sweet guy came to us from a less than desirable situation and deserves much more: a loving family, a comfy spot on the sofa, a little time lounging in the back yard... His foster family is grateful that he ended up in safety with us, but of course they, too, would love for him to have a forever family. Payton has some arthritis which affects his walking, and though some days are better than others, he's quite happy with the simple things in life like napping in the A.C. Payton's foster believes he is deaf, but the family says a gentle tap is all that's needed to get his attention. The only time they've heard him bark at all is when he was startled by seeing his own reflection in the mirror! Payton has learned to use the doggy door and manages his potty breaks on his own. If you have a dog-sized soft spot in your heart, come meet Payton to see if he can fill it. Fosters say he's "an excellent house guest!" The Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter is open every day from noon until 6pm (excluding limited holidays/events).
