Peaches

Peaches is 5 years old, 85 lbs Peaches is a lovely young lady who is 5 years old, heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and is approximately 85 lbs. She loves playing with her chew toys and snuggling on the couch. Peaches is making excellent progress with leash walking and is totally crate and house trained. She does pull on her leash but it is diminishing with practice. Peaches is full of energy and has a difficult time realizing she is a large dog because she will try to sit on your lap and can play a little rough. She would work best with a fenced in yard where she can run off energy. Peaches has never tried to hurt another dog or cat but she will bark (loudly) and push them out of the way for attention and at times she has exhibited food aggression. If paired with a dog, preference would be a playful type dog. She does chase cats but does not hurt them as she just wants to play. Peaches barks at strangers pretty aggressively so she will definitely alert anyone to that type of situation but it can be intimidating to others. She does NOT like the vet office and can be quite aggressive toward those she deems may hurt her. She has been exposed to children from 12 months old to teenagers and she does well with kids. Barkly needs buffer time to warm to people she does not know. It took her approximately 2 weeks for her to calm and acclimate to her current foster family. Peaches owner died and she was left with nowhere to go. A good sam took her in and is fostering her til she finds a forever home.
