My Story

Sweet Peanut Butter has had a rough start to life. She was found wandering the streets and taken in by kind strangers. We took her in and, not long after, she got her leg caught in a kennel and broke her leg. She had to spend 6 weeks in a kennel with a cast on her leg. She does very well in her crate despite having had to spend so much time in it. She wouldn't be a good fit with smaller children because she is still a clumsy puppy. She gets along with all the other foster dogs; they range in size from 5 lbs to 40 lbs. She's a goofy, sweet, BIG puppy and loves water and attention. She will definitely be a wonderful dog for any family! She is up-to-date on all vaccines, microchipped and spayed. She has been kept on flea and heartworm prevention since a small puppy. She can walk on leash but could use more work. My adoption process is to take applications, check vet references and talk to your landlord, if you rent, to make sure you can have a pet (If you own, I do check records to make sure). Once an application is approved, I set up a meet and greet at your home so I can see where they will be living and see if you have a secure yard. If they is a fit for your family, they would stay with you. If not, they would come back with me. You must live within about an hour of Hempstead, TX.
