My Story

Sadly, Pedro developed jaundice and a rare blood disease, causing a quick decline in his health. He became very ill, and we had to let him cross the Rainbow Bridge in peace and dignity. Thank you to Sandra in Houston for allowing Pedro to live his very happy final days with her. UPDATE: Pedro has been lucky enough to find that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! He has been welcomed into a senior-dog retirement home of sorts, to live with five other senior "kiddoes." Thank you to Sandra for welcoming Pedro into Bud's House in Houston, where he will be able to live his golden years in peace and quiet with others just like him. Pedro has made himself right at home there, and has become very attached to Sandra already. A big thank you to Laura and Eric Rieger in New York, and the Sepulveda family in Clear Lake, for continuing to be virtual foster parents for the rescues! Your generosity is overwhelming. Thank you all! BACKGROUND: Pedro is a senior boy who came to us from a local animal control facility. He is a very sweet and gentle boy who just wants a nice place to call home. Pedro has walks a little funny - his gait is erratic at times and he kind of high-steps with one of his legs. Pedro appears to have some neurological problems affecting his gait, but otherwise is a sweet, healthy boy. If you have room in your home and your heart for a good boy like Pedro, please complete an application at: http://houstonbtrescue.tripod.com Pedro's adoption fee is $125.00, and with his good nature and sweet disposition, he is worth his weight in gold!
