Penguin

Meet Penguin, a 4yr old female Spaniel/ mini-poodle mix. Penguin came to us through a breeder release, and her early life was unpleasant. Now she lives with a foster and is adapting to home life, including walking on a leash and playing with toys. She's working on housebreaking. Penguin never learned how to interact with people, and is quite shy (but curious). Her foster is working with her, and she's warming up slowly. Penguin likes other dogs and follows the lead of her foster's dog. Penguin is looking for a special person with a lot of patience, willing to work with her as she overcomes her fears and acclimates to her new life. She needs the companionship of another well-socialized dog. She would do best in an adults only home. Do you have experience working with scared dogs?
