Penny: Is a 10 yr. old Peke mix who needs a new home. She's a little spitfire. She normally has long hair, this is her summer cut (done by owner). She is dog/cat/people friendly, but would do best in an adult home as that is what she is used to. She and Scrapper can be adopted together or separately. Scrapper is a chihuahua/doxie mix about Both Scrapper and Penny are eligible for our Elder Partnering, supported in part by a grant from the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation. This program matches Seniors with seniors. We match older dogs (7+ years-old) with Seniors (60+ years-old). The standard $85 adoption fee is waived and the only charge is for the $5 dog license. We make a lifetime commitment to both the Senior and the dog. If the adopting elder ever finds they are no longer able to care for their new canine companion, we'll find that dog another home.
