Penny is a sweet Terrier/Dachshund mix. Penny is a special girl, about 1 to 1.5 years old and 25 lbs. Penny was born and raised in the streets of south Texas. When she was rescued she was quite shy with humans and still is but has come out of her shell quite a bit. Penny will need a family who is patient and willing to help Penny learn to trust people again. Penny is up to date on all of her vaccines, is spayed and microchipped. Penny loves to play with other dogs her size and smaller. She hasn't had the chance to play with larger dogs or cats. Penny has a lot of energy and would do well with at least one other energetic, playful dog. She is also a powerful chewer and loves toys that are strong. Penny is crate-trained and has been doing good with house training. Penny does come in and out of the house with the other dogs with no issues.
Penny is being fostered in San Antonio, TX but will make the trip to the east coast for an approved adopter. Please submit an application via our website anassafehavenrescue.org if you would like to be considered for adoption. **Transportation is covered in the adoption fee.**
