Penny is currently in a foster home with her sister, Fox. Appointments will need to be made to meet Penny. Hi, I'm Penny! I'm an adorable petite young heeler mix who's a real treasure and worth my weight in love and loyalty. I'm still in my puppy phase and am full of energy, playfulness, and curiosity. I can be a bit shy with new people but if you give me a "penny" for my thoughts and some gentle encouragement, I'll become your loyal companion and pay dividends in cuddles! I'm going to doggy day care to work on my social skills and I'm getting better at making new friends and becoming more confident. My foster home has also been a great place for me to socialize with the resident dogs, and I love being part of the pack; chasing my doggy pals around the yard, playing tug-of-war and keep-away is my idea of fun! I prefer being in a fenced yard where I can zoom to my heart's content and safely burn off energy. I also walk really well on a leash and look forward to my daily strolls I'm a very smart girl and already know some basic commands like sit, shake, down, roll-over, and stay. You could say I'm a penny-wise pup! I'm also crate trained and like to retreat to my space for naps and relaxation. I am still working on potty training but I'm making progress every day. I would love to find a forever home that understand the needs of my energetic breed and that is committed to providing me with daily exercise and mental stimulation.
