Penny

Penny is a sweet, gentle soul with an adorable and contagious smile. She is a 5 year old shepherd/hound mix and weighs 38#....the perfect medium size dog….not too big; not too small. Penny loves people and will approach you with a wagging tail but can be a little shy and submissive at first. Does great with kids and loves to be outside checking out all the new smells. Penny is all about being around people and attaches easily. She will follow you anywhere and is happy just being by your side but can easily hang in a crate if needed. She loves her belly rubs, being petted and gives the best kisses. Penny enjoys walks and does well on leash. Car rides have been easy but sometimes loud road sounds can make her nervous. Penny loves her toys however she tends to destroy any with a squeaker as the ultimate goal is to find it. Penny lives with other dogs in her foster home and does fine with them but doesn’t engage in play. She is much more interested in her people would rather be the center of your attention! She is completely house trained, crate trained and would love nothing more than a family to call her own. Penny is a wonderful all-around dog and very easy going! If you’re looking for a 4 legged best friend and loyal companion, Penny can’t wait to meet you! While in our care, Penny has been completely vetted including all vaccines, fecal, spayed, current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick medications and microchipped. If you rent your current home we require a letter from the landlord submitted with your application granting permission for a pet. A secured fenced yard is preferred and for many of our dogs is required.
