History: Just showed up at my house (rescue in Arkansas). Some guy dropped her off with my daughter saying "I think she belongs here" but she didn't. And if she had an owner, they never called animal control or the shelter.
Age: about a year
Breed(s): rat terrier Mix
Weight: about 15 pounds *
Energy Level: *High: typical rat/jack terrier...needs to run, play fetch, ball, chase or lots of other dog play
Affectionate: very people oriented *Likes to lick *Demands attention
People/General Playfulness: *Occasionally
Socialization: *Moderately socialized: cautious but not scared *Socialized: not fearful of new situations - adjusted just fine to this crazy place
Is this dog a Flight Risk?________no___________________________
*Not familiar with living inside - she has been in the house, but not for long periods of time. I did do some crating with her when I first got her, and she cried for a little and then settled down.
Obedience: *Needs - she is a little high energy bugger and could use training to focus her energy
Behavior with other dogs: *Initiates play often *Will play if approached
Children exposure: Any child exposure in known history?_____________y______________ Ages of childen and amount/type of exposure:_______15 and 7 _________________ Reaction to children: *No fear/approaches for attention
Dominance/Submissiveness: she appears to be pretty neutral with regard to other dogs. She had some issues with food guarding with the other dogs when I first got her, but I think it's because she was half-starved, and not really a dominance thing.
Reactions to strangers: *Friendly: wags, generally happy for the attention
Cats: I am going to re-test her, but at this point, would say a home without cats would be best. I have not got to test her one-on-one
Cat test: *Outside environment Fence in between Reaction: - seems a little too interested in the cats but I need to retest
OTHER ANIMALS: Note if dog has been exposed to any other animals, the situation and the dogs reaction She's a terrier...its in her genes....she went after my guinea hens - would not be a good farm dog
Describe the dog in one good word or sentence encompassing the entire dog: sweet baby, playful and good natured
