My Story

Meet Pepper! Pepper is AMAZING and needs a family to call her own. Pepper is 5-6 years young, a basset/doxie mix/possible Vizsla (more hound than anything), crate trained, house broken and is sweet as can be. She is a sturdy girl weighing in at about 60 pounds, so she needs a strong owner who can handle a dog that size. Her ideal family would have no other pets, a fenced yard and be a single-family home. She can be vocal and a little over stimulated with outdoor activity, if in her line of vision. Pepper loves to get outdoors and walk, her nose loves all those smells. While a little over zealous out there if a person or other canine is close, she is easily redirected and continues on her way. She is leery of steps but will tackle a few, I don’t think she would do well having a flight to get somewhere. Indoors she has been nothing short of perfect. Will grab a bone or toy to occupy her free time and loves to snuggle up with her human. Although her adorable, stumpy basset legs and feet seem mild, she is rock solid and needs a solid human at the reigns. Pepper is currently fostering in York, PA and her adoption fee is $300.00.
