PepperCorn

A black & tan chiweenie,“PepperCorn” came to the rescue during the summer of 2022, at approximately 7-8 months of age. She had previously been in an unfortunate situation, in a home with multiple dogs, without proper socialization. Then her owner had passed away, and it was several days before the dogs were discovered. Several of the dogs were taken by one of our rescue partners, the Humane Society of Yuma. Peppercorn has been with CCR for about 18 months, and has become accustomed to the daily household routine, enjoys wrestling with a couple of the other small dogs, playing with toys and enjoys sunbathing & running in the yard. PepperCorn will come take treats and muzzle my hand. She remains timid and does not like to be picked up. She will sometimes sit next to me. Only an experienced dog parent will be considered, who understands the importance of patience with a dog such as Peppercorn. She is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and has no health issues.
