Peppermint Patty

Hi Friends! My name is Peppermint Patty and I am a 18 lb, Chihuahua Mix born 1/15/2021 that is looking for a new home. I was unwanted and left outside running in my neighborhood pregnant. Some nice ladies in the neighborhood took care of me and my little baby (he was 8 months old) as best as they could. I had to live outside for about a year when my family just didn’t care anymore. So naturally I got pregnant again. Then my foster mom came and picked me and my baby up and I got to live inside again and learn to be a pet!! I am an adult and I play and have fun like a puppy. Unfortunately, I tested positive for distemper while I was pregnant, BUT I am now fully recovered. There is a slight possibility of future neurological issues but I have been cleared by the vet and I'm just living my best life now. No need to be scared about this possibility because who knows if I will ever develop anything at all!! I love to cuddle and I love to play. I am pretty sure that I am in charge and need to tell the other dogs what to do.I love all people once I get to know them and that takes just a second. I play well with all dogs, but sometimes I need a slow introduction with the bigger ones so I prefer dogs my size. I think that cats are for chasing, probably due to being outside for so long. I do really great in the house and I am 90% potty trained. I sleep in a kennel every night and when my foster mom leaves the house. I only complain for a minute, then lay right down in my comfy bed.
