We received this message from a shelter we've been working with in Kansas:
Petunia is officially only male dog friendly, she is a staff favorite by far as she is super sweet, gentle, walks well on a leash and keeps a clean kennel. I have until Monday to get her tagged for rescue or we will be forced to euthanize due to space.
Immediately, we sent out a desperate plea to our fosters. Thankfully, an incredible one stepped up for Petunia! He even drove to Kansas to get her from the shelter himself!
Petunia is proving to be an amazing dog! She is smart as a whip, picks up on things quickly, and is house trained. She is an excellent road trip companion, will sleep in a kennel, and knows to settle in her bed when it's time. Petunia would do great as an only dog, or with other dogs that are more submissive.
