Petunia a Smart, Affectionate Girl!!!

Petunia and her sister, Tulip, were picked up as strays and ended up in a high-kill shelter south of Houston. We are not sure how they came to be strays. It is possible that a "backyard breeder" was discarding the "not quite perfect" puppies that they were unable to sell. We couldn't leave them there, so they were saved in early July. Petunia is a beautiful puppy. She is light brown with unique white markings on her neck in addition to white on her face, chest, feet and tail tip. She has one hazel eye and one BLUE eye. She is great with other dogs! She is friendly with everyone she meets! Petunia (nicknamed Tunia) is a Smart and Affectionate girl. She LOVES attention. She has already learned to “sit” for treats and is learning not to jump on her kennel gate when it is time to go out. She is kennel and house trained. She walks good on leash. She is Brave and was quite happy to jump out of the back of an SUV the first time she was in it. With the Houston summer heat, Tunia will stand in her large outdoor water dish when drinking and actually sat in it a few times. She is not a fan of water coming out of a hose. Petunia will be an awesome family member! She is looking forward to giving and receiving LOVE!! Petunia is 29 pounds, 5 months old and is a Catahoula mix We estimate her adult weight to be 50 pounds. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her puppy vaccines. She is ready to find a Loving home!
