My Story

Phoebe is looking forward to going home to start her new life with her new mom. The lovely applicant who will be adopting her is looking forward to pampering and enjoying her new girlie 24/7!
***********************************************************************************************
Update: Phoebe went to stay with a family that had younger children and it was determined that young children make her very uncomfortable and nervous - although she is quite happy to hang out with adults. We will consider an adult adoptive home for Phoebe or one that includes older teens.

SNOW!! Phoebe is having a blast snuffing about in the the fluffy white stuff that fell in our first snowfall of the season. Up and down the hills, and round & round the yard she goes, having the time of her life!

Phoebe is a 2 year old purebred Pembroke Welsh Corgi and she weighs 26.2 pounds. She needs to shed a few pounds to feel her best and should weigh about 22-23 pounds. She had a health exam and heartworm tested negative, was spayed and had a dental to polish her pearly whites, has been dewormed, microchipped and had her rabies, bordatella, and distemper -parvo combination vaccines.

Phoebe is a people pup and really really enjoys the company of adults. She would probably do best as the only dog in the family - none of that nonsense about sharing her people with another pooch in the house! She enjoys playing with other compatible male dogs for an occasional play date, but at the end of the day she wants her family all to herself. She enjoys older teenage children and is all wiggles and wags to see the boy in her foster home. She is ever ready to join you on the couch for a snuggle or some "Phoebe time" and likes to be included in whatever is going on at the moment. She would enjoy a regular routine and being with her family. She "Arrrooos" when she greets you or is excited about being included in a family activity. She also loves to ride in the car with you as you go about town doing errands. She would probably not do well in a busy home with controlled chaos as the everyday norm. She does worry about the intentions of younger children and is not comfortable with them and should not be around them.

Her intentions around cats are unclear so she should probably not have a cat to worry. She is crate trained and house trained. We would like for Phoebe to have a fenced yard to enjoy or a family dedicated to daily walks. An adult home or one with considerate older teens would be ideal for Phoebe.

Adoption donation $250.
