My Story
Meet Phoebe!
Well, hello friends! My name is Phoebe. You know, like Phoebe Buffay from FRIENDS, who sings "Smelly Cat"! But I don't think cats are smelly, and I get along with them and other dogs quite well. As a young adult, weighing about 55 pounds, I still like my play time with dog friends, and I'd love to have one in my forever home who will play with me! We could play chase, or tug, or with squeaky toys, or even chew on nylabones together. Since my past isn’t the greatest, and I was found malnourished, foster mom feeds me in a separate room so I never have to worry about another dog stealing my food. I have good house manners, go potty outside, and prefer to be in a gated room while my humans are away. I haven't met any small humans yet, and I may have too much energy for the really little ones, but bigger kids I could definitely recruit to play with me!
I am a social gal and don't have any "stranger danger" issues, so meeting new people is fun for me. I could benefit from ongoing training with my leash skills, and I'm not a huge fan of thunderstorms and fireworks (I just prefer to hide from the scary noises they make), but other than that I'm pretty much everything you've ever dreamed of! I will cuddle with you on the couch at the end of the day and curl up on your bed with you at night. I'm looking for my very own best friend that I can devote myself to! I sure hope that could be you!
