My Story

Phoenix is a boy about 2 years old. He is smallish, weighing approximately 12 lbs. He was found wandering the streets, and had possibly been doing so for quite some time. We are not 100% certain of his breed mix, but he has the coloring of a black mouth curr dog, and shows a few dachshund characteristics (like his small size and stance). Phoenix is shy and takes a bit to warm up to strangers, but once he does, he is an absolutely lovely little man! He really enjoys playing with toys, and whenever his foster mom takes all the toys for wash day, as soon as they come out of the dryer, he takes them one by one back to his nesting spot. This may be a trait left over from his days on the street. He is not protective of them, anyone can play with whatever toy they choose, but they always end up back in his bed. Due to his shy nature, Phoenix would do best in a home without a lot of activity and roughhousing. He is wary of the crate, but we are working on that. He is housebroken with a doggy door. Phoenix is in good health, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is a delightful little boy. For more information on this pup or to adopt, please visit our web page at www.limbochihuahuas.org.
