Pilar

Meet Pilar! Pilar was entrusted to our care through our Final Wish Program after her owner passed away. She is 14 years old and weighs 77 lbs. She is very sweet, gentle, and great with other dogs, which makes her a perfect fit in our lobby as a greeter to volunteers and visitors, along with several other Frosted Faces. Pilar appreciates big comfy dog beds, being petted, and going for leisurely paced walks. She gives gentle kisses as thanks! Pilar is so well-behaved and gentle that she has frequently served as an ambassador for FFF at community events. She welcomes attention and petting from everyone she meets, including small children, and can always be counted on to do well with the other dogs at the event. Pilar has also proven that she is the perfect date to take to restaurants, wineries, parks, coffee shops, farmers markets, pumpkin patches, and even outdoor concerts! Pilar went on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we could learn more about her in a home setting, and she earned rave reviews! Her Fling Family reported: "We just adore Pilar! She is great with people of all ages. She loves scratches behind the ears. She is house-trained. She is great with our other dogs - a German Shepherd and our tiny Chihuahua! Her hearing is not the best, so she uses her nose and her eyes. We had a party at our house this weekend, and she handled 30 people like a pro. And took full advantage to get lots of petting. We hope a family considers this sweet girl. She is mellow, agreeable, and a joy to be around!" Pilar is a true shepherd, she is looking for her person and is at her happiest with personal attention and direction. She gets around great with a little traction and can go for short walks or hang out in public with calm and grace. And look at her beautiful smile! Pilar is ready for her forever home!
