My Story

Pilot and his brother Stark, were dumped puppies found on a highway in Missouri. Stark has been adopted. Pilot is still waiting for his furever home. Pilot loves all people. He follows his foster mom around the house and lays down whenever she is folding laundry or doing dishes. He also likes to snuggle on the couch and lay his head on your chest. The 8 year old in the house is his favorite person. He gets excited when she wakes up so he can plop down on top of her and refuse to get up. Pilot even gets excited when delivery people come to the house because he knows he's going to get extra attention! Pilot is very eager to play with other dogs when he meets them. He also enjoys playing with the adult Pyr in his foster home. They play keep away with toys and can get a little exuberant and have rearranged the furniture a few times. He does really well with the cats in his foster home and will occasionally give them a sniff. Some of Pilot's favorite things are pig ears and ice. He often hides things he likes: food, toys, treats. He tucks them away in a corner and finds a blanket or sock to put on top of them to "hide them. Nothing much phases Pilot and he doesn't appear to be scared by loud noises. He'll lay right in the middle of the floor while his foster mom vacuums and stare at the vacuum with his head cocked to the side. Pilot is potty trained and although he hasn't had any accidents for a long time, he is working on bell training for when he wants to go out. *Being fostered in Lexington, MO Pilot weighs 60 lbs and is up to date on core vaccines, microchipped, and up to date on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. He will be adopted on a spay/neuter contract with adopter promising to spay/neuter at a later date and must show vet records at that time. Adoption Requirements *A secure & visible fence *A home visit *A vet check with at least a two year vet history Adopters can be located in Missouri and surrounding states: Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska, Iowa, and Illinois. We are able to help transport to those states.
