This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Thank you!** Meet Piper Petal - a 4-5 month old, Bulldog / Lab mix, who weighs 240-28 pounds (as of 6/13/24). Her foster shares: "Piper is a very affection driven dog. She loves to bond with her primary person for direction, affection and protection. She is eager to please and learns readily with consistent repetition. She has a treat-motivated learning style, and loves to know when she's done well. She enjoys meeting people, and when she learns to reel in her enthusiasm, she'll be a great social companion! She has learned to be respectful with my cats when she tries to play with them - she doesn't have any aggression she just wants to play with anyone and everything. She also likes making friends with other good-natured dogs. She loves her crate and will sleep all night with no peeps at all from her. (She gets freeze dried liver when she goes in crate! So she runs in! LOL) she is just an all around sweet and good little girl and loves attention. She knows “come” and “sit” and is a very smart girl! She is an energetic puppy who would do well with an active family who can provide her the proper exercise she needs! She is so sweet, and will be an amazingly loyal friend for life!" It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted.
