My Story

Pippa is Ready for Adoption! ???? I’m Little Miss Pippa, and on the 4th of July, there’s more than one reason to celebrate—I turned 13 years old! As a sweet senior girl, I’d love nothing more than to find the perfect forever home to live out my golden years. I’m a laidback, gentle sweetheart who wants nothing more than to be at your side all day long. I’ll just lay my head in your hand to get my face caressed. I love my beauty sleep! If I go to bed around 9 pm, you may still hear me snoring by 9 am ? I’m happy just to lay on my bed or a blanket and watch the Philadelphia Eagles play! I have a very calm demeanor, and would thrive with someone who’s home most of the time and lives in a quiet home. Even though I was born on the 4th of July, I am not a fan of loud noises! ? I’m a bit hard of hearing, and if I hear a loud noise while I’m sleeping, I get a bit frightened. Maybe just stick to sparklers? ? I get along just fine with kids, but because I’m sensitive to noise, a forever home with older or no children would work best for me! I get along with other dogs, and with my calm demeanor, I wouldn’t mind sharing a home with a cat. I love to lay in the warm sun when I’m outside. All of my outdoor time has been on a leash, and I’m great on the leash! I’m not overly active, but when my foster mom took me off the leash, I got so excited that I just had to run and feel the wind in my ears! A fenced-in yard would be ideal. When it comes to the crate, I’ll make myself comfortable and take a nap if the door is open, but get a little anxious if you close it. I love to be with you and follow you everywhere! I can be left alone to roam the house and be a good girl, even though I’ll miss you a lot and just wait for you to come home ? I’m housetrained, but as an older gal, it’s important I get outside to potty regularly. Because I’m hard of hearing, it’s difficult for me to follow commands, but I respond to hand motions to come. I’m about 18.5 lbs and was just diagnosed with a low-grade heart murmur, and recently had a bout of Vestibular disease that I’ve since recovered from. My foster family had to carry me up and down the stairs until I got better, but I did enjoy being treated like the queen I am! ? My forever home would ideally be one without stairs, or with someone who doesn’t mind the royal treatment if my symptoms ever return. I’m a gentle, sweet girl who just wants to spend my days in a peaceful forever home with you. Can I light up your life like a firework? ? Requirements: - Dogs okay - Cats okay - Older children okay - Fenced-in yard ideal - Must be willing to carry Pippa up and down stairs should her symptoms return, or have single floor living If you meet these requirements and would like to apply to adopt Pippa, please click here: https://nebostonrescue.com/adoption-application Pippa is being fostered in Telford, PA.
