Grab a piece of Pita! Hi there, I'm Pita! I'm a 1-year-old Labrador Retriever and Black Nose Cur mix, and I weigh 44 pounds of pure love and energy. My journey started in Ensenada, Mexico, where I lived on the grounds of an orphanage. Life threw me a curveball when I got hit by a car, but thanks to some amazing humans, I got the surgery I needed and now I'm fully healed and ready to find my furever home. I'm proud to say that I'm house, bathroom, and leash trainedso no need to worry about any accidents or pulling on walks! My personality shines through with my energetic and sweet nature. I love running, playing with toys, and gobbling up treats. I do have a mild case of whimpering when you leave, but it only lasts a short time because I know you'll be back soon! I'm good with kids (we'll just need to check which ages), and I'm currently living in a foster home with another dog. I enjoy the companionship and learning from my elder foster sibling, although I'm a bit selective with other dogs. We're not sure how I feel about cats yet, but I'm open to meeting new friends. After everything I've been through with my leg, I'm now fully healed and ready to embark on new adventures with you! Despite the ups and downs, I've never lost my zest for life. I'm a quick learner and a gentle pup who's looking for an active home with a yard or access to plenty of walks and adventures. Why should you adopt me?
