We are full! Most rescues are! But we couldn't let these two babies sit in the shelter for another minute. Shelters are euthanizing adoptable dogs and puppies for space at alarming rates.
These little girls are under a year old. Came in to the shelter together. We aren't sure what breeds they are. They look to be chihuahua mixes.
The girls had their freedom ride earlier this afternoon and seemed relieved to be out of the noisy shelter.
They will be heading north soon and available for adoption.
We have named them Poppy (brown) and Pixie (white). Welcome little girls! You will never know anything but love from here on out.
As you can see Pixie has cherry eye and will need to get that fixed as soon as she comes north. Even when we are overflowing with dogs who have been waiting for too long to find their forever homes we just can't say no to pups and dogs in need.
