POLLY

Here is what her foster has to say about her: Polly came into the shelter on January 18th as a stray. She is estimated to be 4 years old. Upon her arrival it was found that Polly is heartworm positive. Thankfully, Polly has already been treated for her heartworms by the shelter! As a result, she will need to be on activity restrictions until May 16th to ensure no complications arise from her treatment. Polly is extremely gentle, loving and kind. Polly is polite and friendly with other dogs and all people. She is 100% house trained, and is super gentle with her food. Polly is pretty even tempered - she has some playfulness but really loves cuddling on the couch. She is also very good at taking direction, and she understands when you tell her no. She is great in the car. Polly does need a little training when it comes to walking on a leash. She tends to pull on her harness a bit, and she is also easily distracted by her environment at times. While she is super friendly with people, she sometimes can give loving gentle nibbles when playing, so something to keep in mind when around children.
