Pope 3077

Pope was dumped in a church lot during the Arctic blast of January 2024 in Houston. Someone that was attending church service took him home and sheltered him until SSR rescued him. Pope loves to be around humans of all sizes. He's an affectionate guy that loves head scratches, couch cuddles, and games of fetch. Pope has mastered basic obedience and loves attention. He is up to date on vaccinations, crate trained, housebroken, seventy five pounds, and polite on the leash. His ideal home will be lots of playtime, structure, and lazing on the couch with his buddy. Pope will need an owner who is consistent in boundaries and expectations and he will do just fine. He has been good with all people, including kids and was great with the fosters cats. He is an older lazy boy, who wants a couch and a small yard. Pope can be selective who he allows in his inner circle, slow introductions should be performed for any resident animals. He can exist with cats and dogs. This boy needs a foster or adopter in order to get into a deserving home. He does have one bite incident caused by another dominant dog behind a fence.
