Hi, my name is Poplar and I’m one of the pups from the cardboard box litter. We were all super sick when we got to MVPC but they took care of us and now I’m all better and ready to find my forever family! I’m an outgoing boy who loves to be with my people – my foster mom says I am the best snuggler. I like to play with my foster siblings too. I am content to just hang out with a good toy but I am always up for a good romp with my foster sibling too. I’m pretty smart and very observant – I’ve learned if I sit back and watch that I can quickly learn just about anything! My adoptive family needs to have another dog in the home to continue my socialization. A younger dog who can keep up with me is best, because I love to roughhouse and use my speedy feet to tear through the house. We did a DNA test and I am 100% American Pit Bull Terrier. Please research the breed before making a commitment to me. I will be a funny, energetic adult dog, but will need properly trained and managed throughout my lifetime to insure I’m a friendly, sociable member of society. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies.
