My Story

Porky is a sweet, smart boy. He loves to play with the resident adult dogs as well as his brother Spanky and sister Jane, but what he really loves to do is to hang out and/or cuddle with the humans in the house. Many times while his siblings are playing, Porky will just sit and wait for some human attention. Porky plays with all of his different toys and chews, but his favorite activity is to spend time outside. Potty training is going well and Porky uses the dog door consistently from his indoor area to go out and go potty. When in the rest of the house we still take him out frequently and he is good about going potty for us outside, while we wait. Porky sleeps through the night in his crate, without accidents, or destroying bedding. Porky has also been learning, since 6.5 weeks old, to sit calmly for attention, and at doors, baby gates and to come out of the crate with the “free” command. Being a puppy, he is not 100% consistent by any means, but is doing very well. While not a big fan of baths, or water, Porky is good about getting his nails trimmed. Porky knows sit, and is learning his other commands. He walks well on a leash/harness with an automatic sit when we stop or pause. He is very food motivated and a quick learner. We have resident cats here but they have not shown any interest in educating the pups on manners with cats. Porky is still young so we will continue to try to get our cats to interact with the pups a bit more. Porky is fostered with his brother Spanky and sister Jane. **Please note that NCBR does not accept applications for dogs that are on hold.
