My Story

Meet Preston! Preston is a GORGEOUS 1 1/2 year old German Shepherd. He was pretty shut down when he came to us as a stray, but luckily for him, an amazing foster home stepped up and has been teaching him all about confidence, manners and how to be a dog! Preston's ideal home is quiet, with low foot traffic. He needs someone that will be patient and allow him to get to know them on his terms. Someone that will continue to help him build confidence and will keep him physically active. He loves to be outdoors and is very comfortable out in nature - HIKERS - LOOK HERE! Preston NEEDS daily activity. He turns into an anxious boy when he doesn't get the appropriate exercise and will pace the house or dump his water bowl and throw it around to entertain himself. Preston will need a home without small children, he just doesn't understand those tiny humans. Older kids would be ok - so long as they know he needs time and patience. He would do best to have a canine companion to help show him the ropes. He loves his furry friends. He is easily spooked, so a fenced yard is required to ensure he stays safely at home.
