Prime is estimated to be a 6-7 year old Staffordshire Bill Terrier mix that was pulled from Memphis Animal Services with his friend Bumblebee on the day they were set to be euthanized. He has had to go through many challenges since coming to us, including heartworm treatment, battling a severe case of kennel cough, and being diagnosed with elbow dysplasia: an arthritic change to both his elbow, for which he will likely need ongoing pain management and joint supplements for the rest of his life. While Prime has had a lot set against him in his life, we are determined to make him as comfortable as we can for the life he has left! He is already becoming more playful and energetic now that he is more comfortable, and we are seeing his sweet spirit shine. And while managing his elbow dysplasia will be a life-long condition, we are so happy to say his history with heartworms are now a thing of the past! This sweet by is dog friendly, people friendly, and kid friendly, and would love a home where he can enjoy life to the fullest! Now that he’s off crate rest, he’s reminding everyone just how much he loves zooming around the yard and sunbathing at the end of it all!
