My Story

DNA results are in for Princess! According to Wisdom Panel, she is a mix of 9 different breeds with the top breeds being Pit Bull, Australian Cattle Dog and Weimaraner! Princess is one years old and weighs 60 lbs. She does great with other dogs, is potty trained and kennel trained. She is very shy in new situations so she will need a patient adopter who is willing to take things slow with her and teach her that the world is not a scary place. Although she is shy, she is very sweet and once she trusts you cannot get enough pets! We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
