Pumpkin

Pumpkin is being placed by Austin Dog Rescue. If you would like to adopt Pumpkin, please carefully read through our adoption information about adopting a Paws in Prison Dog, and then complete the Austin Dog Rescue adoption application.

Pumpkin is a Heeler/Catahoula with Basenji type ears mix, and weighs about 25-30 pounds. She is an active, outgoing, happy-go-lucky kind of girl. She gets along well with other dogs, but can be bossy with them. If there is another dog in the home, she would do best with submissive dogs, and will need experienced leadership. Pumpkin is very affectionate, loving and sweet.

Pumpkin was heartworm positive when arriving at the shelter, but due to a generous donation to FOGAS, she was able to be treated, and is fully recovered. Because of Pumpkin’s bouncy personality, she would do fine with children over the age of 10. She is the perfect size for an apartment, but will require daily exercise and play time. A home with a big yard to play in with her family would be ideal as well.
