PUNKIN came to us about to give birth and we took her in and helped her raise her 9 (!) puppies who are now weaned and ready for adoption - now it's her turn! Her foster says she's a little shy at first but she has warmed up to everyone she's met, with slow quiet introductions. She's good with the foster's dogs (not good with cats!) and loves to play and wrestle. She's estimated 2-3 years old and a petite ~35 lbs. She enjoys walks and going to the park - she benefits from a harness as she's strong. She loves to chew on bones and rope toys. Her housetraining is a work in progress - she does well in her crate at night and will happily go outside, but doesn't consistently go outside. She's had her puppies with her and other things going on, so hopefully when she gets on her own and without distraction, she can make some good progress with consistency and reward. She's scheduled for spay & chip but it is included in her adoption fee even if adoption happens before her appt. Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
