My Story
Meet Regina!
Hello! My name is Regina and I have been looked over so much. Luckily, I’ve been with my foster since I was about 4 months old, my bday is in December, and I would love to have a new family of my very own! I will miss my foster mom, she’s my favorite human in the house. I love everyone, but sometimes I think she’s my actual mom! She loves me too, so much that she lets me sleep with her everynight, if I want too. Sometimes I sleep in my crate because I have foster siblings, and the bed gets crowded. I like to keep mom to myself, or be the closest one to her in the bed. I love to put my head on her shoulder and snore right in her ear.
Anyway, I have 4 foster siblings, I’m the baby here. One is the same size as me, the others are bigger. I like other dogs, it takes me a minute to make sure they are cool with me, and then I just want to play. We wrestle all the time, they even tag team me, because I have the most energy and just keep going. We have a cat, at my foster home, but she does not want to play with me, or any dog. Sometimes she gives me a sweet head butt, and if I get to rowdy with her she lets me know she wants to be left alone. But I want to play with her so bad. My foster mom says she’s an old cat, and to leave her alone, so I do…most of the time.
We have a big back yard and our own trampoline at my foster home. My foster siblings and I play on it all the time. I love the back yard. Chasing squirrels is so much fun. I even bark to let my foster mom know they are in the yard or if anyone walks by the fence. I’m getting to know the neighbors, so I don’t bark at them as much, but I do alert everyone if a strange dog or human gets too close to the yard. I learned to go potty outside really early for my age, I think that’s why my foster mom lets me sleep sleep with her.
I did not like my crate in the beginning, but my foster siblings go in theirs when the humans leave the house, so I decided to give it a chance. Now I go in there as soon as I see mom getting ready to leave. I do let her know when she gets home, that I want out and think she was gone too long, but I mostly sleep while she’s gone. I love nylabones, really strong chew toys and treats! I will do anything for a treat, especially peanut butter! If you mention peanut butter, I’ll come running! I like tennis balls, but I chew them up so no one else can play with them. I love food! I want to eat all the time. I will eat anything too! Like anything, because I am active and need lots of protein! I keep a good figure though. I know a few tricks, but will learn more if you give me treats. I’ll do anything for food. Sometimes I get a little snippy if anyone gets in my way, well only the dogs, not ny human family. I just think I deserve all the treats first and all the food. I do mind quite well, if my foster mom corrects me, I learn to do what she says. I can go a little Regina George sometimes, I don’t let anyone sit with me and my foster mom. But she says that’s not nice, and then I share. I have to be honest, I will miss them and they will miss me, but I would love to be the alpha dog. I would also like to go on more walks, hikes and be outdoorsy. Although, I don’t want to sleep outside or live out there, I do like my moms bed and my crate. Oh and the back of her chair! I sit there all the time. I learned it from the cat, and even when I grew, I still get up there and lay of nap. I do bark at people I don’t know, but I love everyone. It just takes me a minute. If I’m getting all the attention, I’m good. My mom tells me not to jump, but I get so excited. I would like a sibling, but one that doesn’t mind me getting attention, will play with me, chase me, and pretty much just have fun. I will play by myself, but I do prefer a playmate, humans are fun to play with too!
I would like to meet you, maybe play a little and check you out, I know you will love me, I’m pretty cute. I need someone that will match my energy and cuteness, because it’s a lot! So much that my mom says my name all the time. My foster mom will be very sad and happy for me. I’m kinda her favorite.
