My Story

If you are interested in any of the dogs available at New Leash Rescue, you can reach out to the foster listed below for more information and then complete an adoption application which can be found at https://www.newleashrescue.org/adopt/policy. Please email the completed application to [email protected] Meet Remi, a friendly and easy going little man with a sensitive soul who was found as a stray with no owner claiming him. He needed some time to adjust and soon Remi was wrestling with them and playing tag around the yard. He even gets excited for treats now and dances for his food. He will ask for attention and sit near his foster humans while they work. Remi has been an easy foster who would thrive in a home with another playful dog. He enjoys small corners to hide away in for his naps but will come out to be part of the action. He's been through a lot in the past month and needs a safe place to land and continue healing. He's a barker now that he's a little more settled in so we don't recommend a shared wall situation like town home or apartment. He needs a family that is going to be patient with him, giving him the time and space to adjust while supporting him. He has a great personality that's coming out and we can't wait to see the full Remi when he's ready. Remi is up to date on his vaccines, is neutered, dewormed, as well as microchipped. Adoption fee is $450.00 + tax (no checks) Email to contact: [email protected] Our fosters do the best they can to provide all information about the animal's background and temperament while in foster care in their home. An adopters routine and home environment are likely going to be different than that in their foster home. Sometimes there is more that comes out about a dog's personality once they have been able to settle in a home and truly become comfortable. There are great articles out there written about the different stages a pet goes through after adoption, discussing transitions that happen at 3 days, 3 weeks, and 3 months. We highly recommend reading about this - it will help you understand the transition your new pet goes through.
