Richie Rich is a 10 month old male golden Lab mix that came in as a stray. When he was picked up, he was running with a buddy that has since been adopted. Richie is a little shy with new people, possibly from being chased away from other properties as a stray. He often wears a worried look on his little face that just makes you want to hug him and tell him it will all be OK! It is well worth getting to know him to find that fun-loving personality hidden inside. He is very loving and would like nothing more than a best friend for adventures. Richie is one of those dogs that will need his time at home to decompress and learn to trust his new owner. The "Rule of 3's" will help a new owner understand this time and what a newly adopted dog is going through. There should be no outings until Richie, or any adopted dog, fully trusts his new owner and is part of the family. Only then will he understand that you are there to protect him, not hurt him.
