He is a young beefcake who wants nothing more than to wiggle up to you and snuggle! He just LOVES people. His favorite games to play are fetch and tug. Seriously, he could play all day. He does vocalize when excited about playing! Rocky Road is a solo act - he prefers to be the only pet in the household. But don't worry, he's all the dog you'll ever need! He loves nothing more than a good game of tug-of-war or chasing his favorite toys around the yard. After a fun-filled day, Rocky Road enjoys nothing more than snoozing on the couch, snuggled up next to his favorite human. Again, Rocky just isn't a dog park kinda guy! He'd prefer to take a leashed walk with his human, or to have his own yard! He's a big guy, so he does need a handler who is comfortable with a boisterous big dog. Rocky does require some management and advocacy. That just means he may need some guidance and time to decompress through transitions! Rocky Road came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control back in 2022. At that time, he appeared to have a bad case of fleas which was causing some spotty hair loss! Since starting monthly preventatives-- it has grown back nicely and he is thriving! With his boundless energy and love for long walks, Rocky Road will keep you entertained for hours.
