Are you looking for a running or hiking buddy? Or a fun loving friend to play with your dog? Or your next obedience partner? Meet 1 year old lab shepherd mix Roo. Roo had a very rough start in life. He was found by a good Samaritan, all skin and bones and scared of the world. We don't know what he suffered prior to being found but despite all of his hardship, he loves every person he has ever met. While friendly to all people, Roo can be nervous of loud or busy environments. He continues to gain weight and confidence. He has settled quickly into house life. He loves his crate, and has done well with potty training. He is doing great with chewing only on his toys. Roo would be a great companion for someone who spends a lot of time outside because he is truly in his happy place being outside with his person! He is being fostered around other dogs, cats, kids and chickens. He is a smart boy and gets along with everyone. Although he is fostered with young kids, Roo does have some puppy energy at times and is best with dog savvy kids or children 6 and up. Roo is a very smart and energetic boy.
