My name is Roofus! I am a male Chihuahua mix who is about 5 years old and weigh 12 pounds!
I found myself in a rural shelter and quite in bad shape. My best friends at Houston Animal Rescue Team - HART saw pass my condition and took me in! I was so skinny and my back legs were not functioning properly. My care takers quickly realized something was seriously wrong with me and they rushed me to the doggy doctor. There, it was found that I suffered a Traumatic Diaphragmatic Hernia [https://www.acvs.org/small-animal/diaphragmatic-hernia]. So, to Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists I went and they fixed me!
With time, I gain much needed weight and regain mobility in my back legs. I feel so so much better!
