ROONEY came to our rescue via the DeSoto County Animal Shelter in Nesbit, MS. where no one came looking for him. When his stray hold was up, he went straight to our vet clinic in Olive Branch, MS, just outside Memphis, and the staff immediately fell in love with his super sweet self. Rooney wants to talk to you directly and following is his message to you: “Hi! I am a goofy 2 y/o, 24.8 lb, neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative and on monthly heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative Beagle boy looking for that special someone that has a nice fenced yard! I LOVE being outside! I LOVE toys! I haven’t met a dog I don’t like, and I walk pretty well on leash. Oh, and did I mention that I love toys?! I do like to dodge the leash when the humans are trying to get it on me, but it’s my own little game I play. I will shred my blankets and softer toys, so the more heavy duty toys are perfect for me. I will even carry my toy around while I’m on my walk. Sometimes I get distracted and set it down, so would you mind grabbing it for me? I would love a sibling to play with.
