My Story

We are hoping that 2021 will be the year that Rosie finds her forever home.  Rosie has been with her foster home for over a year.  They have gotten to know Rosie so that she can be set up for success with her forever family.   COVID has made public events a challenge but her foster family gets her out for daily walks and runs.  They take every opportunity to introduce her to strangers on her outings and she is well known in her neighborhood and even has a few fans that look forward to seeing her daily. She is 100% American Staffordshire Terrier.   This means we are looking for a home with breed experience.   We have learned so much about Rosie!  True to her breed she LOVES people!  She loves her pool in the summer and cuddling under a blanket in the colder months.  She looks forward to walks/runs/hiking but then loves coming home and cuddling, brain games are kind of her thing but she will not hesitate to participate in a fun session of ball chasing either.  Yes she looks strong and is a lot of muscle but under all that muscle is a sensitive and trusting companion. Rosie loves training and is incredibly intelligent.  She does not enjoy alone time but can tolerate it as long as she is routinely, mentally challenged.  True to her breed Rosie is a freethinker who likes to do things her own way so she will need a human companion who can maintain responsible boundaries and be consistent, patient, and confident with training. To the best of our knowledge Rosie was not raised with other dogs and so we are not certain whether or not she could live with another dog.  She has met other dogs and we believe, given the right personality, she may be able to live with one.  No cats for this girl or other small animals. Rosie attended formal training and she shined!  She stood out as a confident, curious, fun, and athletic student!   Please understand that we know there are applicants that would be a wonderful match for a dog.  Providing a loving and responsible home for most dogs but not every applicant will be the right fit for Rosie.  Much like the glass slipper in the story of Cinderella, we are looking for the family that "fits" Rosie.  Help us find that fit by sharing this post.  Her person/family is out there!!  If you are interested in hearing more about Rosie, please apply here: https://bit.ly/3P1VvlO PA Kennel License # 17325
