Rue

I'm Rue! I have been waiting as patiently as I am able for quite a long time. I just want someone to notice me, but time and time again I watch as other dogs are chosen to go to their new homes and families. I have sat quietly in my kennel at adoption events, and walk fairly well on a leash (once my initial energy from being cooped up is released). I love people and have been told that I am beautiful and sweet. I have the energy and desire to accompany you on outdoor adventures, but would love to snuggle next to my special someone and take in the affection I am so desperately craving. I get along very well with playful male dogs, but may be selective with others. It's probably best for everyone if there is appropriate fencing or other means of exercise and potty breaks, as huskies are known for our intelligence and I may see escaping your yard as a fun challenge. If I am occupied by our adventures together, along with your focused attention, or a compatible dog friend, I may be less likely to want to leave. As a husky, I have some prey drive, so it's probably best that I am in a home without cats or other small animals. At this point, I am feeling pretty discouraged and longing for someone to just give me a second look..... a chance to show what a great companion I will make. I try to imagine that feeling of belonging to someone who chose me! I know the world has so much more to offer than the emptiness I feel day after day when sitting here alone.
