Hi I’m Rusty & I’m approx 2yrs old now! I was thrown away because I had a broken leg at 8 weeks old. The breeders just dropped me at a kill shelter and never looked back. Thankfully, rescue stepped in and took control. As of 1/26/2021, I was medically cleared so I didn’t have to have my leg amputated! The vet says I need to stay lean and keep my boyish figure, so I don’t get too heavy and stress my leg out. I can be picky with my dog friends and because I’m so selective, a meet and greet with any and all dogs in the house is a must. Copies of medical/vet records must be submitted for any previous pets. A home visit must be completed prior to adoption. Three one-hour visits at the training center is mandatory after adoption, and three one-hour visits at the home. A training plan with a trainer is also required.
