7/6/07: YEAH!!! SABRINA HAS FOUND HER FOREVER HOME!!! GOOD LUCK TO SABRINA AND HER NEW DAD!!!The adoption fee for Sabrina is $150.00. Due to recent, unfortunate circumstances, we will now ONLY accept CASH as payment for her adoption fee....we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause our adopters. 6/23/07-sabrina was adopted but sadly her new family didn't want her either.....after only one day in her new home, they wanted to bring her back claiming that she was not housebroken and was chewing on things. they claimed to have 'tried everything' to work with her.....i find that hard to believe after only one day. sabrina continues to hold her head up high and is still as sweet and lovable as can be. sabrina may need some training-after all she was completely neglected and unwanted in her first home- but someone who is willing to work with her and have a bit of patience will be well rewarded with a very nice family companion. won't someone give this beautiful girl a chance. 6/19/07: Sabrina has received her vacc, exam,heartworm test(negative), fecal(negative) and has been microchipped. She is scheduled to be spayed tomorrow!-spay has also been completed. the vet estimates her to be between 1-2 years old. Sabrina and her 7 puppies came into rescue last night. Sabrina was surrendered by her owner(along with her puppies) because they did not want her anymore. Sabrina had taken herself and most of her puppies to the neighbors house so they could be fed and cared for. She did what she could for them, however, the neighbor was not able to keep the dogs and called us. Sabrina appears to be a purebred dachshund and we do not think that she is more then a couple of years old. She is EXTREMELY sweet and loving! She came up to us immediately begging for some attention when we went to pick them up. She is a love with the kids and seems to get along fine with the other dogs. We do not know about cats as she does not have any direct contact with any here. We have not had her checked by a vet yet as they just got here last night but we will be having Sabrina and her pups checked & spayed or neutered in the near future. We have dewormed them all and the concerned neighbor had also been deworming the pups and defleaed them as they were eaten up by fleas. They seem to be doing well but have had a rough start in life.
