Savannah is one of our long-time LoveyLoaves residents, and she is in need of a forever home to call her own. Savannah came to us in September 2019 with a bullet lodged in her spine and a fiery, rowdy, and feisty spirit. Over the last year, she has undergone surgery and a long recovery to remove the bullet, she’s done countless hours of acupuncture, aqua treadmill, and laser therapies, and she was neglected and uncared for by a previous foster causing major setbacks… Although the bullet did permanent damage and she will not walk unaided on her own, all of the various therapies she has been through over the last year have increased her mobility, increased her energy, made her stronger overall. Savannah's ideal home is one with no men and no children, however she is friendly with other dogs. She is a young dog and she loves to play and be outside and run. She is paralyzed in her back end due to being shot in the spine, and she uses a cart for play and exercise time. She does require bladder expression (manually squeezing urine from the bladder) which is quick, clean, and easy to do. We need a hero to open their heart and home to this special girl *** LoveyLoaves is a specially-abled dog rescue based in Orlando, FL. We work to rehabilitate and rehome dogs who have special needs and have been dealt different circumstances in life. The LoveyLoaves adoption application is available at www.LoveyLoaves.org. Prior to being turned over to their forever families, LoveyLoaves requires an adoption fee per dog to cover vetting including neuter, microchip, and vaccinations. Medical records will be transferred to the new pet guardian upon adoption.
